The district administration of Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, has declared a financial aid of INR 4 lakh for the families of two women who died in a mudslide incident last Saturday. The incident happened while five or six women were digging mud near Balampur village’s pond. While making a hole, the soil on top caved in and buried three women. The district and police administration teams reached the spot immediately and evacuated the women. Unfortunately, two of them succumbed to their injuries, while the other has been hospitalised. The police and SDRF teams continue to dig to ensure no one else is stuck. Bhopal Collector Bhopal Ashish Singh stated that the incident was being investigated from different angles, and the administration would give INR 4 lakh to the families of the deceased to aid the financial burden. Tehsildar Chandrashekhar and other officials are also on-site for rescue work.
