BJP MLA and former state minister CN Ashwath Narayan has criticized the Congress government in Karnataka’s plans to remove the chapter on Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) founder Keshav Baliram Hedgewar from Class 10 textbooks. He emphasized that hasty decisions like these are not appreciated and that Hedgewar was a founder of national cultural building and nationalism. Narayan also stated that the government should take its time before implementing the changes and should address the concerns of all sections of society. On Thursday, Karnataka Primary and Secondary Education Minister Madhu Bangarappa announced that school textbooks in the state will be revised this year, and experts will decide what should be included or removed.
