The Nagaland Health department has issued an improvement notice to a Dimapur-based ice cream factory after an inspection by the food safety team. The Directorate of Health and Family Welfare has granted a 14-day period for the proprietor to take corrective measures as per the FSSA rules and regulations, failing which legal action will be taken against the food business operator. In another development, the Kohima Municipal Council conducted an awareness program on waste management and clean air for sanitation drivers, workers, and sweepers. Participants were briefed on segregation of waste, littering, and effects of air pollution. Meanwhile, Phek district has constituted a committee to check and inspect illegal business activities in Phek town.
