Mumford & Sons, The Black Keys, and More Set to Headline St. Augustine’s Sing Out Loud Music Festival

St. Augustine, Florida is gearing up for an exciting music festival. Sing Out Loud, celebrating September as the month for musicians and music enthusiasts, will bring together a fantastic lineup of artists. This year’s headliners include Mumford & Sons, The Black Keys, Lord Huron, Maggie Rogers, Yola, War Hippies, Elle King, Amos Lee, and S.G. Goodman. The festival’s first two-day event is scheduled for Friday, September 23, and Saturday, September 24, at Francis Field.

Local performers are ecstatic to be part of such a prestigious event. Cat Ridgeway, lead singer of the local band Cat and the Tourists, described the festival as undeniably exciting. As an indie artist, Ridgeway emphasized how the event serves as a platform to spotlight and elevate the local music scene.

Sing Out Loud is not only a celebration of music but also an opportunity for artistic development. The festival provides support to local bands and musicians by offering them a chance to work with industry professionals. At the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall, musicians will have the opportunity to fine-tune their sound with the guidance of sound engineers, receive tips for stage presence from a production team, and even schedule professional photo shoots. It is a unique chance for local talents to grow and improve.

St. Johns County Cultural Events, the organization behind Sing Out Loud, aims to support local businesses and boost tourism through this September celebration. Ryan Hall, the Public Relations & Sponsorships Manager, believes that showcasing local talent while providing music for the community to enjoy is a winning combination. Additionally, the festival helps draw music enthusiasts into St. Augustine during a slower time for tourism.

Sing Out Loud will culminate with a Songwriters Festival from Friday, September 29, through Sunday, October 1. This festival allows country music songwriters to connect with fans and share the stories behind their songs. It promises to be a truly memorable experience for music lovers.

Founded in 2016 and curated by St. Johns County Cultural Events, Sing Out Loud has hosted over 250,000 fans and 1,300 musicians. As a testament to its success and impact, the festival has raised over $300,000 for various non-profit organizations in St. Augustine. This year, the proceeds from Sing Out Loud 2023 will go to the St. Johns County School District to support K-12 music education and the First Responder Project for mental wellness education and resources for the county’s first responders.

Gabriel Pellicer, General Manager of St. Johns County Cultural Events, expressed his pride in Sing Out Loud’s role in amplifying the local music scene and supporting local organizations making a difference.

If you’re eager to attend this incredible music festival, general admission passes for one or two days can be purchased. For more information, visit the official Sing Out Loud Festival website at https://www.singoutloudfestival.com/.
