A horrific incident unfolded in New York City when a man allegedly stabbed his own mother multiple times before callously pushing his grandmother out of a window. The shocking incident, which took place on Friday, left both women injured and in need of medical attention.

Disturbing video footage captured the harrowing moment an 88-year-old woman was shoved out of a first-floor window, landing face-first on the pavement below. Covered in blood and visibly injured, the victim’s 61-year-old daughter stood on the sidewalk and urgently called for help.

The grandson, identified as Randy Sierra, aged 38, was later found inside the building with a self-inflicted stab wound to his chest. He was swiftly rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital in critical condition. Sierra now faces charges of assault for his alleged heinous actions.

Both women, who have not been identified, were promptly transported to the same hospital and are currently in stable condition, according to reports.

In a chilling account given to the police, the grandmother claimed to have been terrified by her grandson’s menacing behavior. She alleged that he had been poking her while she sought refuge by hanging out of the window, leading her to make a desperate call for help.

Numerous witnesses were left shaken by the horrifying incident, including Ernest Thompson, the building’s superintendent, who rushed to the scene to offer assistance. To see my tenant, which is one of my best tenants, put into such despair, I don’t know how to react, expressed Thompson, still grappling with the shock of what had unfolded. I haven’t been able to process it yet. This is still not even 48 hours old. I’m trying to pray for her and hope she’s well, both of them.

The deeply unsettling incident adds to the disturbing trend of domestic violence and family-related crimes that have tragically occurred in New York City in recent times, leaving communities grappling with sadness and a sense of collective concern.

As investigations into the motive and circumstances surrounding the incident continue, our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their loved ones, hoping for their full recovery from this distressing ordeal.
