It also includes DNA matching software and interpretation guidelines produced by Interpol to efficiently identify potential matches and report them.
Earlier this year, Ireland’s Department of Justice introduced a database containing detailed information about 44 unidentified human remains found across the country. The goal is to consolidate data regarding unidentified remains nationwide, with hopes that this comprehensive effort will assist in closing some missing persons cases. Interpol has also been engaged to aid in resolving several of these cases.
