Elton John Hospitalized after Slip at French Home
Legendary musician Elton John was briefly hospitalized over the weekend following a slip at his home in the south of France. On Sunday, it was reported that the 76-year-old singer had been taken to the Princess Grace Hospital in Monaco after the incident at his villa in Nice.
A spokesperson for Elton John confirmed the news, stating that he had visited the local hospital as a precautionary measure. After undergoing check-ups, he was discharged the following morning and is now back at home, in good health.
Since concluding his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour in July, Elton John has been enjoying his time in the French Riviera with his husband, David Furnish, and their two children, Zachary and Elijah. The final shows of his tour in Copenhagen and Stockholm were highly emotional for him, as he bid farewell to his touring career.
Speaking about the end of the tour, Furnish expressed mixed feelings. While acknowledging the difficulty of saying goodbye, he revealed that they were now looking forward to spending more quality time together as a family.
Following the conclusion of his tour, Elton John and Furnish found themselves involved in an unexpected situation. They were called as defence witnesses in the trial of Oscar-winning actor Kevin Spacey. Through a video link, they gave evidence, informing the jury that Spacey had stored a Mini Cooper in John’s garage, which the actor had purchased at an auction.
Spacey had been standing trial for sex offences, including sexual assault and indecent assault. However, he was subsequently found not guilty. Despite the legal proceedings, John and Furnish were spotted dining with Spacey in Nice three weeks after his acquittal, suggesting that they maintain a friendship.
The recent incident serves as a reminder that accidents can happen to anyone, regardless of their age or stature. We wish Elton John a swift recovery and hope he continues to enjoy his time in the beautiful French Riviera.
