Gautam Buddha University (GBU) in Noida, India has announced the introduction of a Bachelor of Physical Education and Sports (BPES) program starting from August 1, 2021. The program aims to make the most of the sports infrastructure facilities available at the campus.
Rabindra Kumar Sinha, Vice-Chancellor of GBU, stated that the three-year undergraduate program’s syllabus and curriculum would be in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The course includes 60 seats and is open to students who have scored 45% and above in Class 12 from any recognised board. The course fees cost around Rs 25,000 per semester, and the deadline for applications is on May 31.
The Vice-Chancellor added that the program is designed to prepare students for a career in the sports, fitness, and physical education industry. GBU would provide students with a strong foundation in sports science, equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in various fields. Additionally, the program includes special training and coaching classes for students interested in pursuing professional sports.
Upon completion of the BPES program, graduates can pursue various careers in the sports and fitness industry. Furthermore, the course’s design would also focus on sports science, providing students with well-rounded knowledge in the field.
With the introduction of the BPES program, GBU aims to make the most of its sports complex and equipment available at the university. By equipping students with the necessary skills and knowledge, the university hopes to contribute towards the sports and fitness industry’s growth.
