The Pakistan Hajj Mission has deployed over 189 buses to provide seamless transportation to the Haram Sharif for pilgrims. Operated around the clock, the buses will be readily accessible to pilgrims at all eight sectors, ensuring smooth transportation to the holy site for prayer purposes.
However, the fleet size is expected to increase to accommodate the growing number of pilgrims. The preliminary planning suggests that the bus count will be raised to 360 or potentially even more, ensuring convenient transportation for all.
The mission has acquired a 5 to 6-kilometer radius around the Haram Sharif, to keep costs at a minimum level and for the convenience of the elderly hujjaj who wish to travel on foot. The acquisition of the Batha Quraish residence, located 400 meters from the Haram Sharif, also serves a purpose beyond financial considerations. Its tranquil location and shuttle service prove to be an economical option for the mission.
The designated pick-up times for pilgrims have been communicated, with pilgrims in sectors 2, 5, 6, and 7 being picked up from Bab e Abdul Aziz, while residents of sector 4 are being picked up from Bab e Salam or the gates of Safa and Marva. Additionally, residents of sector 8 are being picked up from the gate of Haram Sharif, known as Bab e Abdul Aziz.
This year, a total of 50,603 pilgrims have arrived in Saudi Arabia, and an additional 6,037 individuals are expected to arrive by Thursday evening. Approximately 14,910 pilgrims are staying in Madinah, while the rest of the pilgrims have arrived in Makkah.
In conclusion, Pakistan Hajj Mission has ensured that pilgrims have seamless and easy access to the Haram Sharif. Their efforts show that the well-being, safety, and convenience of the pilgrims remain their top priority, helping make their spiritual journey as smooth and memorable as possible.
