LANSING — The Red Cedar development project in Lansing, Michigan is nearing completion with the opening of two hotels and a restaurant. The AC by Mariott and Hyatt House, along with the Italian steakhouse Toscana, are the final additions to the $260 million project.
The AC by Mariott offers 156 rooms and caters to upper business class guests, providing convenience for frequent travelers. On the other hand, the Hyatt House consists of 139 rooms and is designed for extended stay guests, featuring amenities such as kitchens and pet-friendly accommodations.
Both hotels share various amenities, including 5,000 square feet of meeting space, an indoor swimming pool, and a fitness center. Additionally, they are connected to the Toscana restaurant, which has its own entrance and valet parking. Toscana is described as an upscale Italian steakhouse with approachable offerings, such as a self-serve wine oasis and a charcuterie experience. The restaurant can accommodate up to 250 people, with patio seating for 100.
The Red Cedar development already boasts several other businesses that have opened their doors. These include the Red Cedar Lodge, a senior living facility; Gateway Lofts, an apartment complex; University Edge, a student apartment complex; Hooked Bookshop, a coffee and literature store; Feng Cha, a tea and pastry shop; Old Bag of Nails, a restaurant and bar; Tropical Smoothie, a smoothie chain store; and Orthopaedic Rehab Specialists Physical Therapy.
