Tragedy Strikes as Two Die in Submerged Mercedes on Flooded Liverpool Road

Tragedy struck on Saturday as two individuals lost their lives after their car became trapped in floodwaters on Queens Drive in Mossley Hill, Liverpool. Merseyside Police are investigating the incident, which has left the local community in shock.

Emergency services were notified about a black Mercedes Class 180 submerged in floodwaters with the occupants trapped inside. Despite being quickly taken to a nearby hospital, the man and woman sadly passed away.

Authorities have confirmed that the victims had driven into a flooded section of Queens Drive between North Mossley Hill Road and Dovedale Road. A joint effort between Merseyside Police and Merseyside Fire and Rescue Services was launched to locate and rescue the individuals.
