The Israel embassy in New Delhi hosted a heartwarming event for children battling critical illnesses on June 8. Israeli Ambassador to India Naor Gilon distributed gifts to 12 young children with terminal illnesses, including dolls, toys, and battery-operated car bikes, which were part of their wishes. The event was hosted in collaboration with Records Manya and the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
The “Noble Alliance: Artists, Diplomats, and NGOs Collaborate to Fulfill Children‘s Wishes Amidst Battling Critical Illnesses” was held at the ambassador’s residence. The event aimed to make the wishes come true for the brave young individuals.
“I am honored to host such a noble event and make a small difference in the lives of the children undergoing challenging medical treatment,” said Ambassador Naor Gilon. “Witnessing the joy and hope emanating from these incredible kids is a profound reminder of the power of unity, compassion, and the ability to create an impact.
The proceeds from a sustainable art exhibition held last month were used to make this event possible. The exhibition, dedicated to Earth Day, presented over 125 hand-painted artworks on scratched records, created by more than 100 artists from all over India.
“The event was even more special as the proceeds were generated by the sustainable art exhibition that reused scratched vinyl to create new artifacts,” said Ambassador Naor Gilon. “It was inspiring to see Israelis and Indians coming together to make a positive contribution and bring happiness and hope to these children. Together, we can inspire and uplift, creating a world where wishes do come true.
The event also included fun activities and interactive experiences that created an immersive and magical environment for the children. The event aimed to provide some happiness, joy, and hope to these brave children who are battling critical illnesses.
