Father and Son Allegedly Attempt Suicide Pact, Minor Girl Survives in Critical Condition
In a shocking incident, a 45-year-old man and his son were found hanging while a minor girl, who the son had eloped with, also tried to end her life in a similar manner. However, the rope snapped, saving her from the tragic fate that befell the father and son. The incident took place in Gujarat’s Arvalli district and has left the entire community in shock.
The girl’s family, including her parents, has been booked for allegedly abetting the suicides of Soma Chamar and his son Vishal Chamar. According to authorities, Vishal had eloped with the minor girl, resulting in a case being filed against him for kidnapping and sexual harassment. The girl’s family had also lodged a complaint of criminal intimidation against Soma Parmar, his wife, and elder brother.
Tensions between the two families had escalated over time, with the girl’s relatives allegedly harassing the Chamar family. It is believed that the constant pressure and harassment pushed Soma to take such a drastic step. When Soma committed suicide at his home while his family members were away, Vishal and the minor girl also attempted to end their lives as part of the alleged suicide pact.
Tragically, Vishal did not survive, succumbing to the same fate as his father. However, the minor girl’s life was saved as the rope snapped midway through her attempt. She is currently in a critical condition and receiving treatment at a local hospital.
