American Sebastian Korda battled through a tough quarterfinal match to secure victory at the Winston-Salem Open. The third-seeded player faced 12th-seeded Richard Gasquet in a marathon match that lasted 2 hours and 31 minutes. The tournament experienced a brief delay due to a shower during Korda’s match. However, the players managed to resume play after a short break. Unfortunately, play was later suspended due to thunderstorms and rain, with two more quarterfinal matches yet to be played. The schedule for the semifinals was not known at press time.
