A special screening of the film ’72 Hoorain’ took place at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) on Tuesday, organized by the Vivekananda Vichar Manch. The film, directed by Ashoke Pandit, aims to expose terrorism and the forces that support it. Pandit expressed his satisfaction with the experience, stating that the subject of the film is close to their hearts.

Our intention is to expose terrorism and all those forces that are supporting terrorism, which are sowing the seeds of terrorism in humankind and targeting innocent people, Pandit said. He clarified that the film is not about Islam or the Quran, but about terrorist organizations.

Responding to criticism, Pandit said, We welcome criticism, but it should be logical and not dismiss the film as propaganda without any basis.

National Award-winning director Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan, who was also present at the screening, explained that they decided to organize a special screening at JNU to understand the perspectives of the students and learn from them. He urged people to watch the film before forming an opinion, expressing disappointment over those who criticize it without seeing it.

The film’s trailer faced rejection from the Central Board of Film Certification due to its portrayal of the dark world of terrorism and the intense brainwashing of terrorists. However, the filmmakers have decided to release the film on social media, as requested changes cannot be made to the trailer at present.

’72 Hoorain’ is set to release on July 7 and is helmed by Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan, a two-time National Award winner. The film is produced by Gulab Singh Tanwar, Kiran Dagar, and Anirudh Tanwar, with Ashoke Pandit as the co-producer.

In conclusion, ’72 Hoorain’ aims to shed light on the issue of terrorism and unveil the forces behind it. The filmmakers hope that the film will encourage meaningful discussions and contribute to a better understanding of the subject.
