55-Year-Old Man Tragically Killed While Confronting Queue Jumpers at Jaipur Petrol Pump
Jaipur, India: In a shocking incident, a 55-year-old man lost his life after being attacked by two individuals when he reprimanded them for cutting in line at a petrol pump on New Sanganer Road. The incident, which occurred on Wednesday night, has left the community in a state of shock and mourning.
The victim, identified as Rajdeep Vishnoi, arrived at the petrol pump on his scooter and was patiently waiting for his turn when the two men on a bike brazenly bypassed the queue and demanded service ahead of everyone else. Not one to tolerate such behavior, Vishnoi confronted them, triggering a heated argument.
Unfortunately, things took a violent turn as the accused physically assaulted the elderly man, mercilessly beating him at the petrol pump while hurling abuses. The brutality of the attack left Vishnoi unconscious, while the assailants fled the scene.
Efforts were made to save his life as the pump staff rushed Vishnoi to a nearby hospital. Tragically, the doctors declared him dead upon arrival, leaving his family devastated and the local community outraged.
Law enforcement officials from Shipra Path police station swiftly responded to a distress call reporting the assault on an elderly man. After examining the CCTV footage of the altercation, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Mansarover Hari Shankar and Shipra Path Station House Officer (SHO) Mahaveer Singh Rathod identified the two suspects.
Multiple police teams were deployed to various locations to search for the perpetrators. With descriptions of the suspects shared among locals, a person came forward claiming they knew the culprits and disclosed that they worked at an auto repair shop near Malpura bus stand.
Taking prompt action, the police apprehended the two accused, identified as Shyam Babu Khangar (29) and Ravi Khangar (36), later that same night. Further investigations revealed that both individuals had a history of criminal activities, including assault and theft.
It was also discovered that the accused had plans to flee to Madhya Pradesh to evade capture. However, the swift response and diligent efforts of law enforcement prevented their escape.
