Around 300 people have reportedly fallen ill due to food poisoning after consuming food at a religious ceremony in Dausa, Rajasthan. The incident occurred on Thursday evening at Pakhar Chowdaki village under Mandawar police station area of Dausa. After participants complained of vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal pain, they were immediately taken to the hospital in private vehicles and ambulances. According to reports, a resident of Pakhar village, Mahendra Bairwa, who recently secured a job as a government teacher in Delhi, organized a religious program called Savamani, inviting villagers to the mass feast. After receiving news of the food poisoning, Dr. Subhash Bilonia, the CMHO (Chief Medical and Health Officer), reached Mahuva Hospital to monitor the health condition of the patients. An investigative team from the medical department also arrived at the scene to examine food samples, including laddoos, puris, vegetables, and pulses, to determine the cause of the outbreak. Mahuva MLA Omprakash Hudla also visited Mahuva and Mandawar hospitals to inquire about the well-being of the patients. The health condition of most patients is said to be improving.
