2941 Mediterranean Street Food in Fenton, Michigan, is quickly gaining popularity as a culinary hotspot that offers a passport to Middle Eastern flavors. The restaurant, which opened in July 2022, takes its name from the coordinates of the Mediterranean and Mideast regions: 29 degrees North and 41 degrees East. With influences from Lebanon, Greece, Turkey, Tunisia, and Iraq, 2941 Mediterranean combines the best flavors from various countries in the Middle East.

The head chef and creator of the menu is Jacques Van Staden, a Michelin Star-awarded chef from Pretoria, South Africa. Van Staden extensively toured the Middle East to ensure that each dish captures the unique flavors of the region. The restaurant is owned by the Joe Vicari Restaurant Group, which operates six locations, including several Andiamo restaurants.

The menu at 2941 Mediterranean offers a wide range of Middle Eastern delicacies. Dishes such as Tandoori chicken, Za’atar steak, Moroccan lamb, and falafel showcase the diverse culinary traditions of the region. One of the most popular items is the Tandoori chicken bowl, which features basmati rice, garlic, tandoori sauce, Persian cucumber, beets, turnips, modern peasant, hummus, and chana chickpeas.

What sets 2941 Mediterranean apart from its competitors is its commitment to using high-quality oils. As owner John Kuza explains, Everything is either made with olive oil, and our two vegetarian options are fried in non-GMO sunflower oil. This dedication to using healthy and flavorful oils contributes to the exceptional taste and quality of the dishes.

The ambiance of the restaurant matches the delectable cuisine. With large glass hanging lamps, fancy art designs on the walls, mosaic tiles behind the register, and a wall depicting a map of Middle Eastern countries, 2941 Mediterranean aims to create an inviting environment for its customers.

In addition to its dine-in experience, 2941 Mediterranean also offers catering services, accommodating parties of 150 to 200 people. Customers can enjoy a variety of fountain drinks from Northwoods Soda & Syrup Co., including orange cream soda, oak barrel ginger ale, black cherry cream soda, lemonade, Wild Bill’s root beer, diet cola, and natural cola.

Open seven days a week from 11:00 am to 8:30 pm, 2941 Mediterranean Street Food caters to the cravings of Middle Eastern cuisine enthusiasts in Fenton, Michigan. As word spreads about the restaurant’s authentic flavors and inviting atmosphere, it is sure to become a beloved dining destination in the area.
