The Maharashtra Vikas Aghadi political coalition is being ridiculed by the leader of the Maharashtra BJP party, Chandrashekhar Bawankule, who claims that they have 25 candidates for the chief minister’s post. He also commented on Pankaja Munde’s recent criticism of the BJP leadership, stating that she is still a prominent leader of the party. Bawankule didn’t hold back on his criticism of senior leader Eknath Khadse, who has recently joined the NCP after serving in the BJP for his entire political career. Bawankule accused Khadse of not preaching to them on how to run their party.
Bawankule also took a dig at the NCP party for holding its OBC cell meeting in the city on Saturday and Sunday. He claimed that the Sharad Pawar-led party is the real enemy of the OBC community and accused them of failing to provide empirical data to give justice to the community during their time in power.
During the Shinde-Fadnavis government’s tenure, empirical data was planned to provide justice for the community, but during the MVA government’s tenure, OBC commission member Baban Taywade resigned due to the lack of data. Bawankule stated that there is complete coordination between CM Eknath Shinde and Devendra Fadnavis, who previously served as CM from 2014-19.
Despite the political jibes, it remains to be seen who will come out on top in the upcoming elections for the Maharashtra chief minister’s post. With 25 candidates apparently vying for the position, it will be an interesting race to watch.
