Dubai International Airport has shared tips for pilgrims planning to go for Hajj in Saudi Arabia this year. It is essential to plan ahead for a safe and hassle-free journey. Passengers are advised to arrive four hours early and must carry their passport, ticket, Hajj permit, and valid vaccination certificate. Pilgrims are also recommended to take the meningococcal vaccine and seasonal influenza vaccine. Pilgrims must also visit their doctor before traveling to review their health status and carry medical reports that may be necessary to seek assistance if needed. Essential hygiene items like towels and a toothbrush must be kept in a personal bag. In addition, passengers must keep in mind the types of baggage that are prohibited, including bags tied with ropes, round and irregular shaped bags, and cloth luggage. The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has guidelines in place for carrying Zamzam water. Pilgrims are allowed only one bottle with them on departing international flights, provided that the bottle is a regular five-liter bottle designated for air transport. The guidelines have been issued for a hassle-free journey so that the pilgrims can travel with ease and comfort.
