A two-year-old girl in Mungoali village in Madhya Pradesh’s Sehore district, India, fell into a borewell in a field, and efforts to rescue her have been underway for over 22 hours. District authorities said that the girl is now stuck below 50 feet, having slid down from a depth of 20 feet. Rescue operations are being held with the help of earth-moving machines but rocky ground in the area is causing delays. Officials are continuously working to rescue the child, and the NDRF team is adopting a conventional method to get her out. Despite providing oxygen, they are facing difficulties due to the hard rock, and the child continues to slide lower. The incident occurred while the girl was playing in the field. Upon receiving information about the incident, the administration reached the spot and started the rescue operation. The state Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, has directed officials to ensure the girl’s safe rescue and is in touch with district authorities. Prayers are being said for the well-being of the minor.
