An 18-year-old youth named Sumit Gautam was attacked and injured multiple times in the Badarpur area of Delhi by two men. One of the accused has been identified as Jitendra. Sumit Gautam is undergoing treatment at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and is reported to be in critical condition. Further investigation into the incident is currently underway.
In a separate incident, a Delhi police assistant sub-inspector named Vikram Singh was stabbed by an unidentified man while he was on night patrolling near the Zakhira flyover under the Moti Nagar Police station area of the city. Vikram apprehended a person on suspicion and conducted a search on him. While searching, the person took out a knife and stabbed Vikram multiple times. The accused fled the scene soon after. A case under sections 186, 353 and 307 of IPC has been registered based on Vikram’s complaint and police are presently investigating the incident.
