The Madhya Pradesh government has announced the transfer of 18 senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, including divisional commissioners and collectors, in a major reshuffle ahead of the state assembly polls. The transfer orders were issued late Sunday night, with the aim of bringing in fresh faces and ensuring efficient governance.
Among the notable transfers, Bhopal divisional commissioner Malsingh Bhydia will now serve as Indore division’s commissioner, replacing Dr. Pavan Kumar Sharma who will take over as Bhopal division’s commissioner. Similarly, Dr. Sanjay Goyal has been appointed as Ujjain divisional commissioner, replacing Sandeep Yadav, who has been posted as the principal revenue commissioner at Bhopal.
Narmadapuram divisional commissioner Shriman Shukla has been transferred as the managing director of the agriculture marketing board, while Shrikant Banoth, secretary of the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE), will assume the position of the state labour commissioner in Indore. Furthermore, Umaria’s collector Krishna Dev Tripathi will take over as secretary of MPBSE.
Guna collector Frank Noble A has been appointed as the commissioner of the Bhopal Municipal Corporation, and Tarun Rathi, managing director of the MP Dairy Federation, will replace Noble as the collector of Guna. In addition, Manoj Pushp has been appointed as the new collector of Chhindwara, the constituency of MP Congress president Kamal Nath.
The transfers are seen as a strategic move to ensure effective governance and bring in fresh perspectives to the administration. It is expected that these changes will have a positive impact on the overall functioning and efficiency of the Madhya Pradesh government.
