Lamar Kemp, of Lansing, is facing charges of open murder and felony firearm for the shooting death of Theodore Lawson, who served as a member of the Ingham County Democratic Party. The Ingham County Prosecutor, John Dewane, made the announcement, expressing his concerns about a rising number of young offenders illegally carrying guns and engaging in gun violence in the county.
