At least 10 individuals sustained injuries when a collision occurred between a bus and a truck on the Mumbai-Nashik Highway in Thane district, Maharashtra. The incident took place at around 12:30 am on the Kolambe bridge near Shahapur. The bus was carrying passengers who had attended Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s Dussehra rally in Mumbai and was en route to Sillod in Nashik district. According to officials, a truck collided with the bus from behind, causing it to collide with the central divider. Meanwhile, another bus crashed into the truck from behind and overturned due to the impact. Among the injured, two individuals are reported to be in serious condition. The police had to use cranes to clear the road and move the buses involved in the accident. The injured individuals were promptly transported to a nearby government hospital for medical treatment. The Thane rural police control room confirmed that approximately 20 people were aboard the first bus, which was returning from the rally. Maharashtra Chief Minister Shinde addressed a large gathering at the Shiv Sena’s Dussehra rally in Mumbai on Tuesday, while Uddhav Thackeray, the Shiv Sena (UBT) chief, held his party’s annual rally at Shivaji Park.
