A conference on emergency management and disaster preparedness held in Kigwema Village by the NSDMA and Home Department alongside the Kigwema Students' Union highlighted the importance of proactive solutions to reduce natural disaster impact. Key speakers and around 500 students attended to share strategies and courses of action for reducing risk and adapting to climate change impacts. The event emphasized the need for individuals to be equipped with in-depth knowledge on how to tackle obstacles and the importance of safety measures when constructing houses, offices, schools, and projects.
