Allama Iqbal Dropped from Delhi University BA Syllabus
The University of Delhi is a prestigious institution, offering courses in tune with the New Education Policy. With its uncompromising academic standards and its 16 faculties and 86 departments, UD is a hub for teaching excellence and research. The recent 1014th Academic Council meeting saw a unanimous approval of removing the syllabus dedicated to the national poet of Pakistan, Allama Iqbal, making way for the focus on the teachings of national heroes. The meeting also included approval of establishment of the Tribal Studies Center, and including the works of Bhimrao Ambedkar, Mahatma Gandhi, and Swami Vivekananda in the syllabus.
