CBI Launches SIT to Investigate Violence in Manipur: Six Cases Registered
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has formed a special investigation team to probe into the large-scale violence that took place in Manipur resulting in numerous deaths and displacement of natives. The investigation will uncover the cause and bring those responsible to justice. The Naga MLAs have refused to be part of a separate administration in Manipur, causing further unrest. The SIT team will work towards providing recommendations to prevent future incidents.
