Nigerian pilgrims who paid a hefty sum for their pilgrimage are allegedly struggling with substandard food and accommodation in Medina. Pilgrims from Adamawa, Bauchi and Zamfara states have reportedly not been provided with adequate facilities, leading to unrest. The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has been accused of not fulfilling its responsibilities towards pilgrims. Many are calling on the NAHCON chairman to intervene and ensure proper arrangements are put in place during their stay in Medina.
