Wall Street financiers are reportedly eyeing Nikki Haley as a potential alternative to former President Donald Trump in the 2024 GOP race, according to the Wall Street Journal. Despite Haley currently placing third in national polling behind Gov. Ron DeSantis and Trump, Wall Street is considering her as a viable option to prevent Trump from becoming the nominee. There is said to be a desperate hunt for anyone but Trump among some Wall Street executives. Haley has upcoming meetings with various Wall Street figures, including executives from Blackrock and Goldman Sachs. Billionaire Stanley Druckenmiller has already endorsed Haley, and Citadel founder Ken Griffin is considering supporting her. JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon has also reportedly had a private conversation with Haley, praising her understanding of the economy and the relationship between business and government. While Haley’s campaign has not yet responded to requests for comment, Wall Street is seemingly looking to rally around her as a potential challenger to Trump in the 2024 GOP primaries.
