Hyderabad: Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a scathing attack on the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) party and the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) during the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) recent public meeting in Hyderabad. In his speech, Shah promised the BJP would emerge victorious in the upcoming elections, emphasizing that the youth of Telangana did not make sacrifices for a government formed by a party associated with the Razakars.
Shah criticized Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) for breaking the tradition of presenting pearls to the Bhadrachalam temple, attributing this decision to AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi’s influence over KCR. He asserted that a BJP chief minister would restore this tradition in the future.
The Union Home Minister also targeted the Congress, TRS, and AIMIM for engaging in dynastic politics. He claimed that while the Congress ruled for four generations, the TRS and AIMIM were two-generational and three-generational parties, respectively. Shah expressed confidence that the BJP would disrupt this trend and come to power.
Shah further criticized KCR for alleged failures in delivering on promises made to the people of Telangana. Describing KCR as anti-farmer, anti-Dalit, anti-BC, anti-women, and anti-youth, he called for the removal of KCR’s government.
Regarding agriculture, Shah highlighted the BJP-led NDA government’s increased budget for the sector, contrasting it with the Congress’ track record. He stated that the Modi government allocated Rs 1.28 lakh crore to agriculture, making it a profitable venture. Shah claimed that the BJP had provided Rs 20 lakh crore worth of support to farmers, a significant increase compared to the Congress’ figure of Rs 7 lakh crore. He also accused KCR of playing politics with rice procurement.
Shah mentioned the Kisan Samruddi Nidhi scheme, through which the Central government is providing Rs 2.6 lakh crore to around 11 lakh farmers. He further revealed plans to establish 10,000 Farmer Producer Organizations (FPO) as part of the Modi government’s initiatives.
Responding to allegations made by Mallikarjun Kharge, the All India Congress Committee (AICC) chief, about a supposed alliance between the BJP and TRS, Shah firmly denied such claims. He declared that the saffron party would fight against both KCR and Owaisi, rather than unite with them.
Overall, Shah’s speech at the BJP’s public meeting in Hyderabad focused on criticizing the TRS, AIMIM, and Congress while emphasizing the BJP’s commitment to addressing various issues plaguing Telangana. With the upcoming elections looming, Shah exuded confidence in the BJP’s prospects for victory.
