Sungrow, a leading global inverter and energy storage system supplier, has unveiled its latest high-powered hybrid inverters for whole home backup. The new residential single-phase hybrid inverters, known as SH8.0RS and SH10RS, were introduced at the All Energy Australia 2023 event. These inverters feature a simplified multi-layer high protection design and are compatible with large capacity SBR/SBH batteries, making clean power backup accessible to more households.
One of the key features of the SH8.0RS and SH10RS series is their support for DC/AC ratio oversizing. This allows for double the power rating to be applied to PV panels in each power class. Additionally, these inverters incorporate the Sungrow Global MPPT function to optimize system performance and increase yield by 2% compared to conventional solutions, resulting in reduced power costs for homeowners.
As the rated power of the new SH8.0-10RS series increases, so does the overload capacity, reaching 1.3 times the previous capacity. With the addition of the Sungrow SBH/SBR large capacity battery, these inverters can easily support whole home power backup. In the event of a power outage, the system seamlessly switches to backup power within 10ms, ensuring uninterrupted clean power and a more comfortable user experience.
The SH8.0-10RS inverters have also undergone upgrades in terms of design and digital management platform. They now feature a horizontal device on their mounting bracket, streamlining the installation process. Additionally, users can monitor the system’s operation and device status online in real-time through Sungrow’s iSolarCloud, enabling efficient management of their renewable energy assets.
Safety is a top priority for Sungrow, and the new SH8.0-10RS series incorporates multiple safety protections. It utilizes AFCI 2.0 technology, which accurately detects arc faults within a distance of 200m and cuts off power supply within 0.2s to ensure system safety. Furthermore, the inverters are equipped with a three-layer EMC wave filter of Class B white goods level, providing protection against magnetic interference and ensuring the safety of electrical equipment and individuals.
With the increasing use of high-powered intelligent electrical appliances in line with carbon neutrality efforts, Sungrow is committed to continuous innovation and upgrading of its PV and storage systems. The company aims to expand its product applications to more fields, including smart microgrids, to provide clean energy solutions that are safer, more efficient, and user-friendly.
