Chandigarh: Panjab University vice-chancellor Renu Vig has approved the admission schedule for the upcoming 1st semester of undergraduate courses. This schedule applies to courses admitting students through merit-based criteria or departmental aptitude tests, excluding UG Law, CET (UG), PUTHAT, PUMEET, and PULEET programmes. Around 20 courses fall under this purview, encompassing disciplines such as language courses, BSc (fashion & lifestyle technology), and BA (evening studies – multi-disciplinary research centre).
Prospective students have time till July 2 to complete their admission forms. The departmental or aptitude tests will be conducted from July 4 to July 8, with document verification slated to conclude by July 9. On July 10, the tentative merit list will be published by the computer centre, incorporating departments conducting tests based on aptitude or departmental criteria. Objections to the list can be raised till July 11, following which the provisional merit list will be uploaded on July 13.
Classes are scheduled to commence on July 18. The admission process involves multiple stages, including document verification, objection handling, and final approval by the authorities concerned.
