Marine Corps Sergeant Denies TikTok Homicide Claims, Blames Ex-Wife
A U.S. Marine Corps sergeant has denied claims of a TikTok homicide and instead blamed his ex-wife for posting a video without providing the full context. Sgt. Jonathon Fehr, who appeared visibly intoxicated in the video, stated that the story about burying a dead man’s body was purely fictional. He emphasized that the video was recorded several years ago and that it had been edited intentionally to exclude the part where he revealed the story was fake.
In the video, Fehr tells a chilling tale about a confrontation between two Marines and an alleged victim behind a pub in Sneads Ferry, North Carolina. He explains how to find the supposed burial site at Camp Lejeune, referring to a specific location within the woods. Fehr claims that the story originated from a joke told among his colleagues years ago, during a conversation about their experiences as privates and lance corporals.
However, the TikTok video has triggered an investigation by the U.S. 2nd Marine Division and the Naval Criminal Investigative Service. Both agencies confirmed that they are looking into the matter but refrained from providing further details due to the ongoing investigation.
Fehr maintains that he has contacted the authorities voluntarily and has not committed any wrongdoing. He expressed concern about the impact the video has had on his personal and professional life. Fehr disclosed that he was removed from a drill sergeant school after the video surfaced, and his wife has faced harassment as a result. The video was even sent to his spouse’s workplace, causing distress and repercussions.
To address the negative consequences he has faced, Fehr is considering hiring a lawyer. He believes that the video has tarnished his reputation and questioned how people can respect and look up to someone when false accusations are being made against them.
Although Fehr denies the claims made in the TikTok video, the investigation will determine the veracity of his statements. Meanwhile, he hopes that the truth will prevail and vindicate him from the allegations circulating on social media.
The investigation by the U.S. 2nd Marine Division and the Naval Criminal Investigative Service is ongoing, and further developments are expected to shed light on the nature of the TikTok video and the circumstances surrounding it.
