Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Emphasizes BJP’s United Front as Opposition Loses Sleep
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, has asserted that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is working cohesively in preparation for the upcoming assembly elections. Chouhan dispelled rumors of internal discord within the party and confidently claimed that the BJP remains united. With Madhya Pradesh set to hold elections later this year, Chouhan’s statement reinforces the party’s commitment to solidarity.
During an appearance on Rajat Sharma’s ‘Aap Ki Adalat’ show, Chouhan launched a scathing attack on the Indian National Congress, suggesting that they become restless when the BJP showcases unity. In a light-hearted manner, Chouhan compared the Congress party’s reaction to a bull agitated by a red cloth, humorously implying that they awaken from their nightmares shouting his name.
When questioned about the existence of three factions within the BJP, labeled as unhappy, maharaj (referring to Jyotiraditya Scindia), and himself, Chouhan dismissed the notion of a divided party. He confidently stated that those who joined the party alongside Scindia integrated seamlessly and equated their assimilation to sugar dissolving in milk. Chouhan expressed his satisfaction with the BJP’s united front in Madhya Pradesh, while acknowledging that leaders possess different working styles, comparing them to the varied approaches adopted by siblings within a family.
Reflecting on his unexpected appointment as Chief Minister in 2005, Chouhan highlighted that it was a decision driven by the party’s desire and the blessings of the people. Recounting the moment he discovered the news, he disclosed how his wife woke him up, informing him of the media reports. Initially dismissing it as a dream, Chouhan’s skepticism evaporated when Bhupinder Singh Hooda, the former Chief Minister of Haryana, arrived at his doorstep to personally congratulate him. Chouhan’s elevation to Chief Minister was not orchestrated to accommodate a potential role in the central government; instead, it was the party’s directive that led to his reinstatement. He clarified that the decision-making process was devoid of any personal affection, emphasizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s unwavering dedication to the nation and its people.
Chouhan praised Modi as an exceptional leader who works tirelessly, attributing his success to his ceaseless commitment. He refuted the notion that personal fondness influenced Modi’s decisions, citing examples of him replacing ministers in other states. Chouhan commended Modi’s planning and scheming abilities while highlighting Madhya Pradesh’s accomplishments under his leadership. The state ranks first in various schemes such as Swachhata (cleanliness), Smart City, and Save Water, Conserve Water.
On a visionary note, Chouhan expressed his belief that India, under Modi’s guidance, will one day emerge as a global leader, or Vishwa Guru. Quoting Swami Vivekananda’s prediction about the end of darkness, Chouhan envisaged a future where Bharat Mata (Mother India) stands tall as the world leader. He credited another Narendra, Narendra Modi, for the realization of this vision.
As Madhya Pradesh gears up for its forthcoming assembly elections, Chouhan’s assertion of the BJP’s unity serves as a strong message to the opposition parties. With his words resonating with the party’s supporters, the BJP aims to consolidate its position and secure victory in the upcoming polls.
