Drug Bust in Makati and Taguig: Suspects Nabbed with P490,600 Worth of Shabu
In a recent drug operation conducted by the Makati City Police, two suspects were apprehended for their alleged involvement in drug trafficking. The operation, which took place on October 4, resulted in the arrest of alias Jordan, a male suspect, and alias Ann, a 33-year-old female suspect. Both individuals were intercepted along Molave Street, Barangay Cembo.
During the operation, law enforcement officers confiscated 52 grams of suspected illegal drugs from the suspects. The confiscated items included two small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, as well as a pack of Marlboro cigarettes containing a knot-tied transparent plastic with a similar substance. Additionally, authorities seized P1,000 in cash, which was identified as buy-bust money, along with 90 pieces of boodle money that were used as part of the operation. A black belt bag was also confiscated. The estimated street value of the seized shabu amounted to P353,600.
In a separate drug bust operation conducted in Taguig City, personnel from the Station Drug Enforcement Unit apprehended alias Batoy on October 6, at approximately 10:50 p.m. The arrest took place at a residence in Barangay Central Signal, Taguig City.
During the operation, law enforcement officers confiscated seven heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu. The total weight of the confiscated shabu amounted to 20 grams, with an estimated street value of P136,000. In addition to the drugs, two P100 bills were seized as buy-bust money, along with a blue coin purse.
These recent drug busts highlight the ongoing efforts of law enforcement agencies to combat illicit drug activities in Makati and Taguig. The successful operations resulted in the apprehension of several suspects and the confiscation of a significant amount of shabu.
