The shocking incident occurred on Friday, where the young girl was staying at her maternal uncle’s house in the Kaila Bhatta area. The accused, who happened to be a relative, lured her with some eatables and took her to a neighboring house’s terrace.
Once there, the accused began touching the girl inappropriately, prompting her to object in distress. Alarmed by her resistance, the man forcefully covered her mouth to suppress her outcry. Witnesses reported that when the girl fell unconscious, the accused cowardly fled the scene.
Heartbreakingly, the young victim was discovered unconscious by her family members. They immediately rushed her to a nearby medical facility, hoping to save her life. However, despite their desperate efforts, the doctors declared her dead.
Authorities wasted no time in taking action, and an FIR has been lodged under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The local police swiftly apprehended the accused, ensuring that he faces justice for his heinous crime.
In an unrelated incident that further highlights the grave issue of child molestation, two class 12 students in Rajasthan’s Pratapgarh district took their own lives after enduring molestation by four of their schoolmates. The girls, who attended a government school, tragically chose to end their lives due to the trauma inflicted upon them.
The father of one of the victims lodged a complaint against the four boys, accusing them of molestation and intimidation. Subsequently, the police added rape charges against the accused. Three of the alleged perpetrators have already been detained, while one of them is a minor.
